Earlybird Logo

Earlybird entered the livestock nutrition industry selling complete feeds in 1979.  In 1985, manufactured feed processing began at the old El Paso mill.  Manufacturing in our current Goodfield facility started in 1995.  In 2018, the Roseville facility was completed and also began manufacturing feed. This second location has significantly expanded the territory handled by bagged and bulk delivery services.

Significant growth of the dealer web provided opportunities to acquire both the Chapin and Marionville, Missouri businesses in 2020 and the Triumph location in 2021.  Operations in Chapin have been greatly expanded with the completion of our most efficient manufacturing facility in September 2021. Pelleting capabilities were added to the network of facilities in early 2022
Earlybird strives to provide the best nutritional diets for your operation. We offer a large line of proven complete feeds for many species of animals or the flexibility to customize a feeding program to fit your individual needs. This is accomplished through a unique combination of Earlybird branded products and a diverse offering of nationally marketed labels.

We’re pumped to have this talented, young man back on the team this summer. Please help us in welcoming Michael Myerscough!

Michael grew up on a small farm in Seymour, IL where he and his family raise Dorset sheep. At a young age, he started showing both sheep and cattle. Although his junior career is now over, he enjoyed showing both species at numerous shows across the country. His involvement in the livestock industry led him to pursue an education in the nutrition field. Michael is currently a junior at the University of Illinois studying Animal Science with a specific interest in Food and Animal Production. This summer, he is looking forward to joining the Earlybird team where he’ll have the opportunity to work alongside livestock producers and industry leaders.

🚨Michael will be at our Sheep & Pasture Management Seminar in Bloomington next Tuesday. Send him a TEXT (217)255-2842 if you plan on attending!

#MondayMotivational brought to you by one of the cutest, most determined little showmen we know … Charley Crouch!

We asked Earlybird feed specialist, Grant Bedel, what is one question you get asked consistently around this time of year? He said, many commercial cattlemen and women want to know when they should be providing a Hi Mag mineral to their herd.

Grant recommends providing a complete mineral with additional magnesium a week to 10-14 days before the grass greens up. When you turn your cows out to pasture it would be beneficial to make sure they are full on fresh dry hay and that will help control intake.

5800🔺Hi Mag Mineral Max from our Max Line Cattle Minerals provides ideal magnesium content to prevent grass tetany, supports reproductive efficiency, boosts immune function, and improves health.

🛑Are you ready for the BEST NEWS?! Our spring mineral promotion doesn’t end until Friday, March 31st!
