Earlybird entered the livestock nutrition industry selling complete feeds in 1979. In 1985, manufactured feed processing began at the old El Paso mill. Manufacturing in our current Goodfield facility started in 1995. In 2018, the Roseville facility was completed and also began manufacturing feed. This second location has significantly expanded the territory handled by bagged and bulk delivery services.
Significant growth of the dealer web provided opportunities to acquire both the Chapin and Marionville, Missouri businesses in 2020 and the Triumph location in 2021. Operations in Chapin have been greatly expanded with the completion of our most efficient manufacturing facility in September 2021. Pelleting capabilities were added to the network of facilities in early 2022

The calendar officially says September, which means we’re rolling right into SALE SEASON!
As sale prep kicks into high gear, we asked Kyle Vehige of T Bar S Cattle Co. to share a little insight into his go-to feeding program for getting cattle ready for sale day.
“The past four years, we’ve used a LOT of Earlybird Sale 50 as our base feed leading into sale day. It has become a favorite around here. We feel like we get the right kind of gain while still maintaining growth and size.
Depending on the condition of the calves coming off cows, we’ve also utilized Earlybird Calf Push and Conditioner Max.
At T Bar S Cattle Co., our goal is to have the cattle as ready as they can be without getting them ‘too fat.’ Daily hair care, proper nutrition, and high-quality pictures and videos all play a part in having them look the way we want them to when sale day rolls around.”

At the time, summer nights like these feel like just another ordinary evening. But somehow, they become the ones you miss the most.
It’s staying up late to clean pens, the trailer only half packed, clippers still humming, and little ones giggling and hiding in the feed room one minute, then standing close by watching and learning the next.
Turns out, some of the best parts of summer happen right here in the barn.
